Those who have been Internet users for more than five or so years are certainly aware that the World Wide Web has changed a great deal in recent history. The Web 2.0 definition, although not commonly agreed upon, is frequently used to describe the current state of the Internet, as it continues to evolve into a more complete computing platform rather than a marketing and information resource.
Interactivity is a key component of Web 2.0 today. While in the past many companies approached having a World Wide Web presence as a necessary component of their marketing outreach to consumers, with Web 2.0, that mindset is changing. With Web 2.0, websites are no longer primarily viewed as static entities that direct information from a business to its consumers.
Perhaps the best way to describe Web 2.0 is as emerging Internet technology in action. Still better yet, the phrase next generation might accurately reflect Web 2.0 today, and what it is to become in the future. The technology itself is not Web 2.0. The way that Internet users utilize advanced online functionality is what Web 2.0 is all about.
Even if you have never heard the phrase Web 2.0 before, you have likely seen evidence of it. Your own website very well may contain components attributed to Web 2.0 For example, both blogs and AdSense are representative of Web 2.0. Even the commonly used Internet language abbreviations, such as LOL and TTYL, are examples of the Web 2.0 definition in practice.
Additional website styles and features that represent the move toward Web 2.0 are seen in highly collaborative social networking websites such as Digg, Wikipedia, MySpace and more. All of the dynamic aspects of highly interactive tools for multimedia online communication and resources are part of Web 2.0.
As Web 2.0 becomes more fully integrated across all aspects of the World Wide Web, the result to users will be a rich environment for both networking and research. As social networking technology advances with the development of Web 2.0, live events featuring real-time networking and collaboration will become commonplace in the online arena.
Deep linking between websites will reduce the need for search engines in seeking out content. Instead, Internet users will be able to link directly from one website to another to find desired information. The end result will be a World Wide Web where users will be able to access and retrieve vast amounts of relevant information much more quickly and easily than ever before thought possible.
Web 2.0 also offers a framework for organizing and managing the vast amounts if video, audio, and information that pass back and forth online. The RSS feeds that have become such a popular component of many successful blogs and bulletin board style websites are an example of how Web 2.0 helps users manage the vast amount of information available online today.
Web 2.0 represents an online environment that is constantly changing and adapting to technological advances that impact the purpose, function, and use of the Internet in daily life. Rather than trying to write an over-simplified Web 2.0 definition, a better way to understand Web 2.0 today is to get involved with the Web 2.0 phenomenon yourself.

Know Your End Result
Can you imagine what the world would be like if there were no dreams, no end results people worked for?
We would have no growth. Period. In fact, we'd have stagnation and regression.
Knowing your end result is all about having a vision, a destination that you have solidified in your mind, and are continually working towards.
Many of today's successes started out as visionaries, starting out with little or nothing, and creating an empire from scratch, this is what knowing your end result can do for you.
Now, your end result doesn't need to be grandiose, it can simply be that you want to be able to replace your income, and to be honest, if you've never built your own business, that is where you should start.
Replacing your income is where freedom starts, because it gives you the choice to start doing what you want with your time.
But you need to be very clear, and very careful at the same time, about how you picture yourself in that end result. Whenever you do this, you need to see this as though you've already done it, or already have it, and be 100% certain that it is exactly as you want.
It can be eerie how accurate that image becomes a reality.
To give you an example, when a sculptor starts with a slab of stone, they don't just start chipping away at bits and pieces here and there, or smashing pieces away in the hope that it ends up looking like 'something nice', they have a very specific image of what they are sculpting, and almost to the finest detail, the picture they have in their mind, will be recreated into life.
It sounds insane for a sculptor to start with no end in mind, but why is it no different to you or your life, or where you want to be? If you don't know what you are heading towards, then how do you know that you've got there? Would you leave your home today and just drive 'somewhere', of course not, you'd know exactly where you are going, and if you didn't, you'd use a map or ask directions.
Now, the way I do this is a little different, I view my life as one great orchestration that I design. So I don't just do a 5-year plan or 10-year plan, I have a life plan. What this means is, when my life is over (as morbid as it sounds, death is a reality that we all have to accept some day) here is exactly how I want it to look, so I can look back over my life and have zero regret.
That is one of my only fears, that one day I will regret my life, it is one of the forces that drives me.
Once I've designed my life plan, it's very simple to work back to my 40-year, 10-year, 5-year and 1-year goals, and then break it down further into action items related to monthly, weekly and daily activities.
The cold hard reality, is that we cannot do everything in this world in a single lifetime, so choosing what we want to do is of great importance, and replacing your income or getting your finances simply allows you to design your life how you want it to really be.

How A Three-Letter Word Can Change Your Life Forever And Force You to Succeed!
Have you ever wondered why most people will never get what they want?
My friend, I’ve read and listened to more self help material in my life than I can remember, and if I were to be on my dying bed right now with only one thing to share with you from everything I’ve ever learned it would be this one concept: the power of “why”. With it you can move mountains in your life and accomplish anything you set your heart on.
Without it, even if I were to send you the most powerful information on the face of the planet on changing your life, it would be completely useless (unless you need a paper-weight).
The answer is simple: Most people will NEVER get what they want in their lives because they don’t know “WHY” they want it!
The most impacting concept that has changed my life has been the “WHY” concept. The world’s most popular peak performance and achievement coach Tony Robbins has popularized this concept to a huge extent in his audios, seminars and books. It’s been written about in hundreds of books for the last decade and has shaped thousands of people’s lives from stagnation, unhappiness and procrastination into blissful lives of power, joy, and accomplishment.
From the time I first grasped this concept about a year ago my life has been transformed at a rate I stopped keeping track of—which is why I want to share this concept with you today. I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t tell you about this dirty little secret: Most people who set out to make a change or improvement in their lives never do so because they do not understand the power of “WHY”.
Do you remember a time in your life where you set a goal for yourself that you were extremely excited about? Perhaps you even got to the point of taking some action towards that goal? But for some reason your drive, ambition, and energy withered away only to leave you looking back at that goal weeks later feeling like a failure?
I can remember a lot of times like that in my own life. I’m sure you can too, because as human beings we all go through this natural process.
Thousands of people everyday make “decisions” on changing BIG parts of their lives. These decisions could be:
• Deciding to quit smoking.
• Setting a goal to get a better job.
• Starting a business.
• Deciding to get out of a bad relationship.
• Committing yourself to creating more health and energy in your life.
Yet most people’s decisions last only for a couple days or hours, leaving them right back where they started, feeling miserable after they’ve been seduced right back to the low quality of life they wanted to leave. When every commitment in your life turns into another unfulfilled “new year’s resolution”, you know you need a better strategy!
My friend, I submit to you that if you’ve ever found yourself in a situation in your life where you’ve decide to make a HUGE change for the better, but that change never occurred, once you grasp the concept I share with you today you will be UNSTOPPABLE.
I can guarantee you that all your major “successes” in life had this one thing in common: The Power of “WHY”.
There is a secret mechanism behind your own human motivation that you need to see if you haven’t already: Most people’s decisions have two sides to them.
When we achieve something in our lives that we’ve strived to get, and someone asks us “how” we did it we often explain ourselves by saying something like..."Well, I just REALLY wanted it and was DETERMINED to get it, so I did it."
But what happens inside you that makes you “REALLY” want something to the point that you’re “DETERMINED” to get it no matter what?
Whenever we make a decision, two elements are present:
1. The decision at hand. Example: “I’m going to lose 20 pounds this month.”
2. The reason WHY you want #1 and the emotional pressure of that “WHY”.
Here’s the secret: Whenever you make a decision, a commitment, or a goal, the single most important thing which determines whether you will SUCCEED or not is if you’ve created a BIG enough REASON for yourself to succeed. This is what I mean by the power of “WHY?”
Whenever you set out to succeed at something, first ask yourself: “WHY is this really important to me? WHY MUST I have it?”
Once you ask this question you absolutely MUST come up with a powerful enough reason or a series of reasons which will turn your soul on fire and give you the drive necessary for you to follow through with your decision until the end, and make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to sit around and procrastinate.
I guarantee you that if you currently have something you’ve wanted in your life for a long time but they’re still not there it’s because you haven’t taken the right action, or the right amount of consistent action in your life to get that. And the main reason you haven’t taken the action is because you haven’t given yourself a powerful enough REASON that drives you emotionally at full strength towards that goal!
Let’s quickly look at some examples of really poor decisions:
Example 1: When most people decide they want to lose weight or do something for their body, their decision is usually one sided without even being consciously aware of the “WHY”.
Decision: “I’m going to lose 40 lbs.”
Reason: “Because I want to look thin, lean and attractive.”
That reason is nice, but it’s simply not emotionally driving enough to push your limits to the point where you stay absolutely committed to your goal until you achieve the desired result in your life. This is why most people’s “new year’s resolutions” hardly ever get accomplished, because they are simple blatant decisions with little emotional value.
If you want to GUARANTEE your success you have to stack your reasons to a point of emotional overwhelm where there is NO ROOM for failure:
Decision: “I’m going to lose 40 lbs!”
Reasons:
• Because I deserve to have a body I am proud of.
• Because I deserve to be lively, vital, and HAPPY.
• I deserve to feel attractive and I’m SICK and TIRED of living my life like this, it’s my body and I will not stand for it being this way anymore.
• I’m sick and tired of being called names and stared at by other people when I go out in public.
• I deserve to be lively, vital, and HAPPY. To feel attractive and sexy like I’m suppose to.
This sounds so simple but it’s extremely powerful. Most people don’t do it because they’re afraid of being honest with themselves.
Let’s look at another example:
Example 2:
Decision: “I’m going to create a business that will generate $20,000 in net income per month.”
Reason: “I need more money.”
To most people the idea of making more money is always very exciting in the beginning, but very few people ever do ANYTHING to improve their financial situation, because they’re comfortable at where they are. Even when they start a new business or any kind of promising venture, they give up too early or never even start fully because they haven’t harnessed the power of “WHY”.
Remember, if you truly want something you not only have to know WHAT you want, but WHY you want it. Do you think you would give up on your goal to create a financially lucrative business if you reminded yourself WHY you wanted it with reasons like these?...
Reasons:
• I’m absolutely sick and tired of living an average life and I will not stand for this bullshit anymore—I’m going to be financially free no matter what it takes!
• My family deserves the best and I hate to watch them struggle with the income they have now.
• My family deserves a bigger home to live like they’re supposed to.
• Because I will not idly stand by and watch my life and my dreams simply pass me by.
• I’m not helping ANYONE by being in this financial situation, and I absolutely loath this, this HAS to change.
Yes, most of the time when we make a decision to make a powerful change in our lives we start feeling an overwhelming desire and drive for that change, but most of the time it doesn’t last simply because we forget WHY we wanted what we set out to get in the first place!
The most incredible service you could do for yourself is to clearly define WHY you want something and keep reminding yourself of that every single day.
Without having a powerful enough “WHY” reason for doing something, chances are your motivation will fade before you accomplish what you set out to do.
My friend, I don’t know what unique situation in life you’re in, but I guarantee that when you follow the 3 steps below for ANY goal you want to achieve currently, or perhaps something you’re ALREADY on a mission to achieve, your results will skyrocket!
Step 1: Make a Decision
Decide on the result you want to achieve. Is it creating money? Making a change in your body? Making a change in your relationships?
What is the CRYSTAL CLEAR result you want to achieve? Be specific.
Step 2: Find Out WHY You Want It!
Ask yourself these questions:
“Why is it absolutely IMPERATIVE that I MUST have this in my life?
“What will my life look like if I don’t have this in my life?”
“Are there any other people around me that will be affected by this decision? How much do I care about them? How will they suffer if I don’t do this?”
“What is the most painful thing about not having this in my life?”
“What is the most incredible and inspiring thing about this decision?”
“What will my life look like when I’ve created this change?”
You MUST figure out WHY you want what you’ve decided to do. If you can’t create enough reasons that are truly empowering, and if don’t find that the reasons make you tingle inside with emotion and drive, then you most likely don’t REALLY want what you’ve set out to get, or you haven’t looked deep enough inside you for those reasons.
Step 3: Use the Power of “Why” Every Day
One way to do this is to write your powerful “WHY” reasons on a piece of paper and stick that piece of paper somewhere where you can see it every day.
Remind yourself of the REASONS you want what you’ve set out to get every single day. Spend at least 10 minutes a day feeling the powerful emotions you’ve written down as your “WHY” reasons. Visualize and feel how important it is for you to do this, and why you won’t settle for anything less.
“Human beings are capable of incredible things. If we have a big enough REASON to do something, we’ll go to the greatest lengths to get it.” - Tony Robbins
I hope you’ve found this information extremely helpful to you, as I have enjoyed sharing it with you. Remember, information is powerful, but only information put into action makes a difference!
As I’ve said before, most people won’t make a change in their lives until they tap into the proper mechanics of human motivation. Knowing this I seek to not only provide you with powerful INFORMATION, but the MOTIVATION to put it into action and make a change in your life.
Ask yourself: What does it mean to make a change? Will other people’s lives be affected when I make that change in my life? How will my life look when I’ve created that change in my life?
Only once you find the big enough “WHY” to make a change in your life, then the information you possess becomes truly powerful.

Where Ideas Come From by Matthew Furey
Many people often wonder where the so-called "creative" people get their ideas.
They're looking for answers that are profound. There aren't any.
Ideas are in the air at all times. You simply reach into the substance and pull one out by doing something that all young kids do in their imagination each and every day.
And that is—you "make it up".
Yes, you may "make up" your ideas based upon things you've already seen and heard—or felt. Yes, you may combine one thing with another thing until you have something unique, but you still "made it up".
And when you make things up, you do so without resistance. You simply imagine—then move.
The other day my kids were beating me with punches while I was lying on the couch. My seven and three-year kids were saying, 'Inside Kung Fu"—then chopping me.
A minute later it was "Errrh, muscles." And they're flexing and strutting around.
"Where are they getting this stuff?" I think.
Sure, they've been influenced by me—but I have never gone around our home saying "Inside Kung Fu" while throwing punches—nor have I ever flexed in front of my kids, grunted and said the word "muscles".
Yes, there are bits and pieces of these elements at play—but most certainly NOT in the manner my kids put them together. And as soon as the ideas "popped" into their creative little minds, they moved and began expressing what they were thinking.
Becoming successful in business is much the same way.
All my successes on the Internet as well as off the Internet were NOT a result of long-term planning, trying to get every detail right before doing anything.
They were a result of using my imagination to come up with an idea—then moving forward on the idea—and continuing to move forward on it until the idea gets completed.
And coming up with ideas isn't hard. They're all around us. Just look at little kids and you'll see what I mean.
Sure, you may think it's different with business.
But is it, really?

Introducing Andrew Hansen!
Andrew Hansen hails from Gold Coast, Australia and is a very successful Internet marketer whose expertise lies in niche marketing.
Andrew's biggest secret method in identifying and marketing insanely profitable niches has the following 5 characteristics:
1. First, look at search traffic. You want to know how much search traffic something is getting just to know whether it has been enjoying a good amount of attention or not.
2. Look at competition. You want to know how many pages are competing for a keyword or term. You want terms that have under 500,000 results in the Google search engine only. Anything else is too much effort.
3. Look at 'competitiveness'. You want to know how good the competition in a niche is. Sometimes you can have a niche where there's not many sellers/affiliates but somehow that small amount of competition there is totally ROCKS and you can't beat them even if you try. A lot of people don't realize that! If you know the situation and how to overcome this, your marketing journey will be a whole lot easier.
4. Look what products are in that niche. You want to know that if you enter this niche, there are products that you can either sell or develop easily that will ACTUALLY sell. You don't want to waste time driving traffic to a site that doesn't convert visitors into buyers!
5. Look at the 'nature' of a market. There are certain features of a market that allow me to know whether people are making money in this market or not. It doesn't necessarily mean there is competition but by analyzing certain features you can see if people are making money there, then go about making money in that market, but DIFFERENTLY to what they do.
You see, Andrew has a consistent knack for tapping on niches that are small, tucked away, hidden but insanely profitable. He makes his money online without doing hours of complicated optimization or research. The key breakthrough starts with selecting the right market, so everything else becomes easy. You get your rankings faster, traffic faster and make money faster. And not only faster but easier!

It's one of the reasons he called his e-book "Niche Marketing On CRACK" and in it he reveals his personal system for successful niche marketing right from the beginning. His way of selecting a perfectly defined and uncompetitive niche of a certain kind turns everything most people know about SEO and traffic generation on its head!

eBay to Be Rival of Craigslist in Online Classifieds.
Ebay introduces new online classified advertising service called Kijiji
in US; new service pits eBay against company it partly owns:
Craigslist, company that manages classified ad sites for 300 cities,
which attract 12 million new ad listings each month; Ebay bought 25%
stake in Craigslist in 2004.
EBay, the Internet auction leader, has quietly introduced a new online classified advertising service in the United States.
The new service, called Kijiji, pits eBay, based in San Jose, Calif., against a company it partly owns: Craigslist, the San Francisco-based company that manages classified ad sites for 300 cities, which attract 12 million new ad listings each month. EBay bought a 25 percent stake in Craigslist in 2004.
Kijiji, which means "village" in Swahili, is one of eBay's several classified advertising efforts outside the United States. It is the market leader in Canada, Germany, Italy and Taiwan.
EBay introduced the Kijiji site in the United States without fanfare last Friday, a move that was reported yesterday on the Web site of The Wall Street Journal. The new site has separate classified ad pages for 220 cities and allows users to buy and sell items in a variety of categories like antiques, cars, motorcycles and pets.
"This is going to be our classified ad play in the United States," said an eBay spokesman, Hani Durzy. "We look at it as competition to Craigslist and other platforms. But we think there is room for competition." Mr. Durzy said eBay was planning to keep its stake in Craigslist.
EBay plans to attract users to its new site by buying advertisements on search engines and by ensuring that listings appear in unpaid, or natural, search engine results. There are no plans to direct eBay traffic to the site, Mr. Durzy said.
Craigslist's chief executive, Jim Buckmaster, said, "One of the beauties of viewing our world through public service goggles is that there is no need to worry about what other companies are doing.
"Many companies offer classifieds, but since we don't concern ourselves with considerations such as market share or revenue maximization, we don't think of them as competition, or as a challenge to Craigslist."

Generals make a difference.
Imagine that you are dictator of your own country. That's pretty good—you have your own army and you have 5 loyal generals. You also have 100,000 infantrymen (of course, the generals represent leaders and the infantrymen represent distributors in case you're not following this analogy). What happens next is that one night I sneak across enemy lines and attack your army. I use my pinkbelt in karate and go chop, chop, chop and I beat up all 100,000 of your infantrymen. The next morning you wake up and you have 5 generals left. All of your infantry went home to their mothers for sympathy.
Now, here's the important question: With only 5 generals left, could you rebuild your army? Of course you could. That's the importance of leaders. When things go bad and everyone abandons the ship, you can still rebuild your organization if you have loyal leaders. What if the opposite were to happen? What if I were to sneak across enemy lines and kidnap your 5 generals? What would happen then?
The next morning, you wake up and all you have are your 100,000 infantrymen with no leadership or direction. They start marching in circles, firing inward, stepping in latrines, getting lost - it's a disaster! So as you see, generals are everything.
Some networkers build leaders. Other networkers are just busy. That's the difference why some networkers can work for a few years and finally retire from their business. These networkers focus all their activity on building leaders. The other networkers? The ones who are just busy? Well, they're still busy. If you're not convinced that building leaders is important by now, well, you can save yourself some time by not reading any further.
Okay! Let's get some leaders! We need a step-by-step plan. And that's easy because I studied engineering. If you're not familiar with engineers, we need a step-by-step plan for everything. For instance, when we walk, we have a plan. We're thinking: "Left foot, then the right foot. Left foot, then the right foot, etc." So, back to our plan. We're going to create our master plan in 3 easy steps. By mastering each step, one at a time, we'll end up with an organization of leaders. Here are the steps to master:
Step #1: Define what a leader is.
Step #2: How to find leaders.
Step #3: What to teach leaders.
Step #1 is very important. Before we go looking for leaders, wouldn't it be a great idea to know what a leader looks like? It's a lot easier to find somebody if we know what he looks like. On a recent training session, I asked the group, "Does anybody have a good definition of, what is a leader?" The answers were:
* Someone who is willing to step up and help to encourage others.
* Someone who makes sure that he gets done what needs to be done.
* Somebody who is coachable.
* Somebody who is good with people—a good communicator.
* Someone with a vision.
* A leader is somebody who wants to learn and wants to succeed.
* A leader is someone who commits to taking the action that's required to make it to the top.
And that was the list. The rest of the callers were silent. I don't think they ever thought about this question. I can't imagine how they looked for leaders if they never even knew what a leader looked like. All of the above definitions are nice, but we need something more useful. In a future article, I will share with you my 3 definitions of a leader. Once we know exactly what we are looking for, it gets easy.

Running Your Own Race by Jill Koenig
Think back to a time in your life when you tried something new.
When I was a teenager I volunteered to work the water station at a 10k race. It was called the "Heaven Can Wait" 10k run and ironically, it was sponsored by the local cemetery.
My job was to pass out water to the runners. I remember being so excited to see all the different kinds of people who passed by and grabbed a cup of water. Some ran past, some walked past and a few wheeled past. I saw so many types of people doing it, I thought maybe I can do it too!
So the next year I signed up for the race and gave it a shot. Back then I didn't do much to prepare except jog around my neighborhood. I never tracked how far I jogged, or timed myself, I just ran around. I had no time goals for the race, no specialized training, no game plan, nothing. Needless to say that I prepare differently when I run races today, but back then my only goal was to finish.
On the day of the race, it was incredibly hot and humid. I remember struggling at about the 5th mile, thinking, "I must be crazy, why did I do this? What was I thinking? And at one point, I said, "I am never doing this again!"
Have you ever felt that way about something? You eagerly undertake a goal and in the midst of it comes a moment of struggle, and you realize it is much harder than you imagined it would be?
That first 10k race was quite an experience. I jogged, I walked, I jogged and I walked. At times, I didn't know if I could finish. Then came a defining moment.
At one point near the end, a 70 year old man ran past me, very very fast, and I felt embarrassed that I was 50+ years younger than he and I couldn't even keep up with him. I felt defeated for a second. But then I realized something. He was running his race and I was running mine.
He had different capacities, experience, training and goals for himself. I had mine. Remember my goal was merely to finish.
How often in life do we compare ourselves to others and feel disappointed in ourselves when we really shouldn't? After a minute, it hit me that this was a lesson I could draw from. I learned something about myself in that moment. I turned my embarrassment into inspiration.
I decided that I would not give up on running races, in fact, I would run even more races and I would learn how to train and prepare properly and one day I would be one of those 70 year old who was still running. As I crossed the finish line, I was proud of my accomplishment.
I am so glad I didn't give up on running. Today it is an incredible source of joy in my life. I have run several races since then, 5ks, 10ks and I run purely for fun. I have studied running books, made friendships with other runners and I can report that I love it now more than ever.
In life we all have those moments where we compare ourselves to others. It's only natural. Don't allow those moments to dis-empower you. Turn them into motivation and let them inspire you. Use them to show you what is possible. Every struggle is rich with opportunity. You define your own race when you define your own goals.
With the proper preparation, coaching and conditioning, you can improve your results to achieve anything you want in life.
The impact of fitness and nutrition on my life has been remarkable. I can do things now that I could not even do in my 20's all because of coaching, proper nutrition and conditioning.
You decide your race and you decide your own pace. Rarely in life will your destiny be determined by one little race.
"Success is a peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you are capable." – Coach John Wooden
Life is a series of races. There are lessons in every race. There are life lessons to be learned every single day. If you don't win the race, but you get the lesson, and grow, you are truly a success.

Real Traffic Exchange: Earn 10% more credits from all your referrals!
Just a quick note to let you know that now, in addition to earning 50% of any credits purchased by Real Traffic Exchange members that you refer, you will also earn 10% of all of the credits they earn in the system.
The 10% will be taken from the 25% of credits available for sale, so the members of the sites will still be earning the same amount of credits.
So start referring people to Real Traffic Exchange and earn not only cash, but free visitors to your sites!
As an example of the potential here: let's say you refer 100 new members, and each earns an average of 250 credits per month. That's a total of 25,000 credits per month. Of that, you will earn 2,500 credits to your RTE account. That's 2,500 free visitors EVERY MONTH being sent to your websites.
In case you are wondering what is RTE, see the ads above? It's a new contextual ad program launched by Jonathan Leger, the one-man army against the Google Goliath. Read all about it here.

Personalize your sales message and increase conversion rate!

It's no secret if you can personalize a message in some ways, through the e-mail, on your sales page etc., you can triple or even quadruple your conversion rate.
I wanted to tell you about this sooner, but haven't had the time because I've been too busy actually using it. Anyway, now that I've managed to find some time, I wanted to share with you my experiences of using a new marketing tool so that you're armed with all the information when you come across it.
It's a CGI/Perl script called Traffic Personalizer by Paul Hancox. I first heard about this on a marketing forum, and quite a few people were recommending it, so I decided to jump in and buy.
Basically, I'll try and sum up its 3 main functions:
(1) You can create a "tag" to add to the end of your web address (URL). The tag is designed to grab someone's attention and urge them to click. When they do that, you can then display a completely personal message for that person on your own site!
I've set up an example right here on this page. Let's say you're Jane, you own a software company, and you've just received an e-mail off me. I end my e-mail to you with a "signature" which looks like this...
Myra View
Myra View Services
http://www.mysite.com/review.shtml?tag=JaneForYou
If Jane (that's you!) clicks on the link, she'll see a personal message right at the top of the page!
You can create an unlimited number of these tags, and you can basically do what you want with them. For instance, you can use them to track articles you've published - and then you can tailor your site based on the article they've just read.
(2) You can make your site display a unique message depending on where the traffic is coming from.
So, for instance, if you're getting a lot of traffic from WidgetLoversWorld.com, whenever someone comes from that site to yours, you could display a unique message like "We have extra special deals on Widgets this week, just for people who love their widgets. Quick, check out the Widget links before they sell out..."
One particularly good idea is to get a testimonial for your site from each site that refers to yours, and then put the testimonial at the top of the page for that traffic stream!
(3) You can personalize your offer links in email, and personalize your sales page with their first name.
It's well known that autoresponder services can personalize email, but that's usually where the personalization ends. Any links given are usually generic links, and you're usually taken to a generic sales letter or page.
With Traffic Personalizer you can use your subscriber's first name in any offer links, plus, you can have that first name displayed in your sales letter!
In other words, instead of a generic offer link, i.e.
http://www.yoursite.com/offer/etc...
... your offer link for John would be...
http://www.yoursite.com/offer/John
This can vastly improve your clickthroughs. Plus, when John gets to your sales page, you can display his first name on the page!
So far I'm using these techniques with good results. I'm definitely seeing more clickthroughs because of this.
Good points: Easy to install, easy to make a new "tag", very effective.
Bad points: The only downside is the price...but at $97, I think you'd easily recoup that investment from one personalized campaign.
Overall, I think this is a great piece of software, which allows you to personalize your site in many different ways. I'd recommend grabbing it as soon as you can!

Reason, Season and Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need
you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty,
to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrong doing on your part
or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met,
our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered
and it is now time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON,
it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
those things you must build upon
in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
love the person/people (anyway);
and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Create sharp-looking FLV videos.
Looking for a real quality FLV video conversion software so you can upload your sharp-looking videos on your site in minutes? FLV Producer is easy to use, and one good thing about it is the conversion process takes minutes and sometimes seconds for long videos, unlike others with which you may have to wait through the day and it would still not finished the bext day.
For those of you who do not know the difference between the SWF and FLV formats of flash video, FLV is the new format from Macromedia that eliminates the 1500 frame limitation of the older SWF format as well as offering superior compression and video quality.
If you recognize the player buttons, you know this is what the IM masters are using to produce the videos on their sites.
But this one tops the cake. If you see this for the first time, we bet you'll laugh your head off. It's definitely better than "Elvis has just entered the building".
How about walking in and out of a web page?

Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

Easy spying method in Google AdWords.
One of the frustrating things about being an international affiliate that wants to sell into the United States using Google AdWords, is the inability to easily find out which ads are showing to US surfers.
Let's say that you are in the UK. If you search for "car insurance" on Google, the ads that appear are related to your UK IP address. Now if you wanted to promote a US targeted CPA offer on AdWords, how can you find out what your competitors ads look like?
In the past there where tricks like adding "&gl=us" to the end of the search string, but I found that it wasn't always that reliable.
Well Google have their own tool to help you out called Google Ad Preview Tool.
Take a look, because you can now see what the adverts look like in any country in the world. Yup, even Mongolia!

It is a review scheme that instead of helping some A-List Blogger get more money with no return for you, you will be promoting yourself.
You review one blog on the directory, and then you will be included in the directory, where you will receive multiple reviews back (some have already been reviewed 4 times since last Friday, (and these people have been converted into readers—more subscriptions, more comments, bigger network, more money. However you look at it, it's a good thing for your blog).
Click here to find out how to participate and what the directory is looking for, and feel free to browse the directory. I cannot promise your John Chows, Darren Rowses or Shoemoneys will be in there, what I can promise is some of the best undiscovered blogs on the blogosphere.
The first 100 reviews will also get a backlink on my blog.

Greek Gods 'Condemned' To The Agora (Marketplace)!
What do Fortune 500 companies and Hollywood studios know about name
branding? The names fulfill one or more of the following criteria:
* They don't have more than 4 syllabus.
* They rhyme to specific vowels or sounds (Coca-Cola, BlackBerry, OshKosh B'Gosh, Humpty Dumpty, SimpSons, RugRats).
* They end with '-er' (equalizer, submitter), '-or' (terminator, predator, generator), '-us' (plimus, janus, del.icio.us) or '-o' (pro, commando, manifesto, studio, audio, video).
* When the marketing pros run out of English, they turn to Greek and Latin expressions!
There are some good websites that explain the meaning of Greek and Latin words. Incidentally, you may already know some Latin words as the English language significantly derives from them. However, don't expect to find literal translation for specialized words(!) like 'viral' or 'affiliate', but keep hunting and you will find interesting terms to play around with.
1) In this English-to-Latin translation tool by University of Notre Dame, I am able to find meanings for 'list', 'auction', 'design' and even 'advertise'. The Latin word for 'advertisement' is 'proscriptio'. You might as well name a product as a 'proscriptor'!
2) Another version of UoND's translation tool.
3) "Words For Our Modern Age" is a comprehensive list of prefixes and suffixes with roots in Greek/Latin origin. Great to surf through when you have little ideas on what to search for.
4) More Latin resources.
Because the Greek language by itself has its own set of characters, it's harder to find another English word as a direct expression of a Greek meaning (forget about googling "english to greek translation"). You are likely to turn to "Words For Our Modern Age" for reference most of the time. More often than not, we have seen businesses naming products and services and even our planets after Greek gods and other people. Here's a page profiling thousands of gods and goddesses from various cultures. If only you can find the name of the "god of riches"...
* Sly combinations of prefixes and suffixes.
About this last point, as an example, Jolly has reserved the following 2 domain names:
1) finggle.com: It's a combination of 'finger' and 'google'.
2) xagora.com: 'agora' is 'marketplace' in Greek and is in popular demand. Not to be outdoned, he put an 'x' in front and registered his very own agora.com!
So the truth is we are really hardly in short supply when it comes to names. The competition is not going to heat up just because more people are reading this post. Fanciful names or not, they are not be-all-and-end-all. I'd come across a good number of fantastic domain names that lay dormant either because the webmasters have no idea how to position them for business or they are just squatters waiting to make a quick buck.
Of course, the long term requires that you find a way to position a name with the selling angle. Twentieth Century Fox registered simpsonsmovie.com on April 22nd, 1997, nine years before the movie finally was green-lighted. The important fact is they hold fast to it and did not abuse it while Fox concentrated on the series. In this respect the studio demonstrated foresight towards the long-term goal which is the movie.
At the end of the day, which is more important: a name or the business? This is no trick question, for the answer is already known to those who can append a value with a 'name', provide that value and get paid for it.

I Promise Myself... by Christian D. Larson
To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature I meet.
To give so much time to improving myself that I have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side, so long as I am true to the best that is in me.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

The 6-Step Process For Developing Discipline In Your Life by Gerry Robert
Step 1: Identify one habit or area you would like to become more disciplined in.
The first step is to identify one specific behavior you would like to change. It should be written in behavior style. It should describe something you now do that you would like to stop doing or something you now don't do consistently and would like to do regularly.
You can use this step to describe the outcome you would like to accomplish. You must however, confine each worksheet to one specific issue or behavior. Attempting to do too much may be discouraging. Each worksheet will take you through this 6-step process. It only applies to one issue per worksheet.
Step 2: Find role models.
Ask yourself, "Who is doing it right?" By identifying one or more people who have discipline in this area you will see that if others can do it so can you. The people you list in this section need not be personal acquaintances of yours. You may not know them personally at all. They may be alive or dead. The point here is to cause you to think about specific people whom you believe had control in this area. People you will emulate.
Step 3: List the benefits of becoming self-disciplined in this area.
Now ask yourself, "What's in it for me?" You want to consider why you want to develop in this area. By listing the rewards you will be willing to work harder. You need to feel, smell, taste, see and touch exactly what it will be like once you are strong in this area.
Step 4: Consider the danger zones.
You now need to consider where you might fall. You need to give some thought to the danger zones. You know that if you are going to become more disciplined you will be tempted to fall off the wagon, to be led astray, to procrastinate. If you have been attempting to become more self-disciplined for some time, you know that for you there is a pattern of failure to comply. What happens for you? You start off strongly, then before you know it, you are doing the very things you said you wouldn't or you stopped doing the things you said you would and know you should.
Step 5: Use Advanced Decision-Making.
You cannot win in life if you are controlled by whimsical or situational decision-making. If you are to succeed in life, you will need to consider in advance, how you will live your life.
In this step you will need to give some thought to what specific actions you will need to take to accomplish the goal listed in Step 1. For example, if you wanted to become more disciplined in the area of exercise, one decision made in advance could be a decision to exercise every morning upon waking for 45 minutes.
Step 6: Enroll a support team.
This step is by far one of the most crucial. If you don't do this step, you are cheating yourself out of the real power behind this system. It is vital for you to finally becoming the strong and self-disciplined person you know you can and should be. Resist the temptation to avoid this step because it may be different from what you are used to or even comfortable doing. It will literally change your life.
What this will do is force you to do what you said you would and know you should. Find someone to call you at least once a week. Allow yourself to become accountable to this person. This has literally transformed my life and that of my students worldwide.
